Kinsale Guides has presented a cheque for €500 to local community mental health service KYSS.

The donation was part of the proceeds from a recent Guide fundraising coffee morning in the Temperance Hall. This was organised by parents of Guides travelling to Pax Lodge Guiding World Centre in London at Easter.

KYSS reps Ger Rice and James O'Mahony attended a Guide meeting last week to receive the cheque for €500. They talked to Kinsale Guides about mental health, personal safety and the work KYSS does in Kinsale.

This was a great opportunity for Guides to contribute to a worthy cause, and to learn more about the mental health services on offer in their community.
